I am passing this message on for somebody who's e-mail is currently out of action:
I wondered if someone would be interested in providing a synopsis of the recent debate conducted on the spate of TV programmes on archives - I was reminded in seeing the report on the 6 o'clock news on the Glendower letters.
I have just taken over as Fillers Editor of the SoA Newsletter and thought that the listserv debate generated such a response that it would be good to give other archivists (without access to the internet) the chance to hear what has been said. It also seems to be a subject people are interested in and have a definite opinion on. Is anybody willing to provide a condensed report on it all? I'd be happy to hear from anyone (the deadline for May's issue is tommorrow 5 o'clock!, but it could be included in June).
Many thanks,
Jude Dicken
