NEMLAC is a new regional organisation founded on Information North and
North East Museums (NEMS) with additional funding from Resource. NEMLAC
has a remit for the museums, libraries and archives domains within a
regional and strategic context, delivered through an holistic and cross
domain approach. The postholder will advise and assist the new
organisation and its members in the development and implementation of a
regional ICT strategy. Key activity areas will be the continued
development of the Regional Information Service, infrastructure, content
creation and appropriate linkages to other regional ICT strategies. The
postholder will also advise on funding for ICT development and provide
specialist advice to the sector in the North East.
Applicants should be graduates, preferably with a relevant post-graduate
qualification in ICT, museums, libraries or archives, and at least three
years experience within one of the domains. They must also demonstrate an
understanding of the role and benefits of ICT to the three domains.
