Hi,
Amongst an assemblage of 10th century Fatimid copper-alloy
artefacts, I've found some high-tin bronze bowls. I'm trying to track
down parallels - these are of simple, open form with what looks like
punched and engraved decoration (simple geometric forms).
Composition is around 20-23% tin and the one I've looked at by
SEM so far has a clear martensitic structure.
One person I know has done work on this sort of thing is Sharada
Srinivasan - Does anybody out there have an e-mail address for
her? Or maybe you are a list subscriber, Sharada?
Looking forward to the usual erudite replies!
