Dear members,
this is my first submission to the mailbase arch-met mailing list.
I am doing research on a varied and extensive range of iron smelting remains
from 8th century BC, Jordan. Part of the sampling consists of vitrified clay
sections, of which I made microsopic photographs, similar to what I did with
the slag samples. The mineral structures that are revealed by the sections
are a mystery to me.
My first question is whether anyone might be able to help me on this
subject, either with advise or with references to litterature (which I have
been unable to find so far).
Furthermore, I would like to send a few (very low in Kb) images to this
mailinglist, so everybody might give his/her suggestions about the things
that are visible on them. Is there any objection to doing this?
Yours sincerely,
Xander Veldhuijzen
