Dear Allstat,
what prompted me to write this is an article ,"Text Mining: The Next Gold
Rush" published in 'Second Moment', a website for applied statistics. I am
working in financial software line esp. development of technical analysis
systems and datamining. The benefit is ofcourse to derive patterns or
information from a mine of unstructured text archived. An always referenced
method to impliment text mining is Latent Semantic Indexing(LSI) but
technical details of LSI are not much discussed. It would be appreciated, if
sombody in the list who is familiar with text mining, start discussing about
LSI
best regards,
jeomoan
