Lecturers/Reader in Statistics at Bristol
Candidates with research interests in any branch of statistics or
applied probability are invited to apply for lectureships in
Statistics in the Department of Mathematics,
tenable from 1 October 2000 or a date to be arranged.
For an exceptional candidate, there may be a possibility
of appointment at a more senior level.
Academic staff in the statistics group are expected to carry
out both research and teaching to an excellent standard; with
this in mind initial teaching loads are relatively light.
The Department offers a stimulating environment with
first-rate facilities.
The salary will be on the Lecturer A or B scale
(currently 17,238 - 22,579, 23,521 - 30,065
p.a., respectively), or the Senior Lecturer/Reader scale
(currently 31,563 - 35,670 p.a.),
according to qualifications and experience.
