Statisticians

  The  Novartis  Horsham  Research  Centre,  as part of Novartis world-wide
  Development  Headquarters,  is  a  centre  of  excellence  in  the global
  development  of  new drugs for the treatment of respiratory diseases. Our
  Biostatistics  sector  employs a number of talented statisticians who are
  key  members  of  our  clinical  teams within the Development function of
  Novartis Pharma.

  Now,  to  strengthen  this team, we are looking for four statisticians to
  fill  important  roles,  working  within  our multi-disciplined, strongly
  team-oriented  organisation.  We  are looking for talented statisticians,
  who  will  enjoy  applying  state  of  the  art or innovative statistical
  techniques  to  shape  key  Novartis  projects.  You will need leadership
  skills  to  be  an  effective  member  of  the team, together with strong
  negotiation and interpersonal abilities.

  Respiratory therapeutic area (Phase II/III) - two positions

  Your  main  tasks will be to bring statistical expertise to the design of
  clinical  trials  and  programmes,  to the analysis and interpretation of
  trial results, and to regulatory dossier summaries.

  You  should  have  an MSc or PhD in Biostatistics/Statistics and at least
  two  years experience within the pharmaceutical environment. In addition,
  you  should have experience of designing clinical trials and of using SAS
  to  perform  analyses,  familiarity  with  regulatory guidelines and good
  clinical  practice,  and  the ability to communicate statistical concepts
  and information to non-statisticians.



  Respiratory therapeutic area (Phase IIIb/IV) - two positions

  Your  main  tasks  will be to design international Phase IIIb/IV clinical
  trials,  which  are  meant to form key elements of our product profiling,
  and will result in high quality publications in high-profile journals, in
  collaboration with your clinical colleagues. These positions will involve
  overseeing CROs performing the analysis.

  You  should  have  an MSc or PhD in Biostatistics/Statistics and at least
  two  years experience within the pharmaceutical environment. In addition,
  you should have experience of designing clinical trials, familiarity with
  good  clinical  practice,  and  the  ability  to  communicate statistical
  concepts and information to non-statisticians.
