AIMS AND SCOPE

'Statistical Modelling' will publish original and high-quality articles
recognizing statistical modelling as the general framework for the
application of statistical ideas. Submissions covering the following areas
are welcomed:

* Research papers reflecting important methodological developments,
extensions, and applications of statistical modelling. Papers should be
based upon a problem of real substantive interest with appropriate data.
* Articles on practical applications which are addressed using an existing
or a novel adaptation of an existing modelling technique. Articles from all
relevant disciplines will be considered.
* Reviews and tutorials on recent and cutting edge topics in statistical
modelling.

The journal aims to be the major resource for statistical modelling,
covering both methodology and practice. Its goals are to be
multidisciplinary in nature and to promote the cross-fertilization of ideas
between substantive research areas. It will also provide a common forum for
the comparison, unification and nurturing of modelling issues across
different subjects.

KEY FEATURES OF 'STATISTICAL MODELLING'

* Full-text journal is available online!
* Peer reviewed by cutting edge researchers
* International advisory board - ensures the journal's worldwide relevance
* Contains data and additional software available online
* Provides an interactive forum for feedback and discussion

REASONS TO WRITE FOR 'STATISTICAL MODELLING'

* Timely, impartial and peer reviewed journal
* Global exposure for your work in print and online
* Full electronic submission service
* Rapid receipt-to-publication times
* Your work can be supported with supplementary material on the journal's
website

An important objective and exciting feature of the journal is that the
reader should be able to reproduce the results presented in published
articles, apply the published techniques to their own problems, and even
develop their own extensions of the methodology. Authors are thus strongly
encouraged to make data and software available over the Internet through a
website linked to the journal. This website will also provide a platform for
feedback and discussion on published papers.

Papers of merit are welcomed from all international authors. Electronic
submission is encouraged. Material is selected for publication by peer
review through the refereeing system. US authors should contact: Brian Marx,
