BBSRC CASE PhD. AWARD
"Developing Statistical Methods for the Analysis of Drug-Target
Interactions"
Supervisors: Professor David Balding, Department of Applied
Statistics (U of R), and Dr Mike Tennant, Department of Computational
and Structural Sciences (SB).
The award is available for three years starting October 2000, and is
open to EU residents with a good first degree in statistics,
mathematics, or computer science, or a biological or physical science
with a strong quantitative content. The award covers tuition fees and
living allowance for UK applicants, fees only for other EU
applicants. In addition to the standard BBSRC living allowance, there
will be a supplement provided by SB to bring the total living
allowance to almost £10K per annum (precise amount not yet confirmed
by BBSRC).
