SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS - REMINDER
THE STATISTICS OF DIRECTIONS, SHAPES AND IMAGES
19th L.A.S.R. (Leeds Annual Statistics Research) Workshop
organized by the Department of Statistics and CoMIR,
University of Leeds, UK.
3 July - 5 July, 2000
This year's workshop will celebrate the 65th birthday of Kanti Mardia who
was the founder of the LASR Workshops and has been the motivating force
behind the event for the last 25 years. The themes this year will be
directional data, shape and image analysis. These reflect Kanti's research
interests and represent important areas in current statistical research.
The format will be a mixture of invited and contributed talks, as well as
posters.

CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS
If anyone is interested in presenting a talk or a poster, please
submit a title and abstract (maximum two pages) for consideration as
soon as possible.
Registration details will be available soon and the deadline for
registration at reduced rate will be 30th April 2000.
