A Research Fellow and a Statistical Research Assistant are required for the 
Highlands & Islands Health Research Institute located in Inverness.  The 
Institute will develop programmes of high quality collaborative research on 
health and healthcare in remote and rural areas involving both primary and 
secondary care, and will facilitate and support clinically-based research 
throughout the region.

The RESEARCH FELLOW will be required to advise on the design of projects, 
application for competitive grant income, questionnaire design, data management 
and analysis and reporting of findings.  You should have a track record of 
academic publication.  For appointment on the higher scale, you will require a 
proven record of high quality research; experience of applying for research 
funds; experience of research and/or consultancy in a health-related area; and 
the ability to supervise research staff and graduate students.  Post Reference

The STATISTICAL RESEARCH ASSISTANT will work under the general supervision of 
the Director and the Research Fellow contributing to project design, 
questionnaire design, data collection, data management and analysis.  Post 
Reference Number: YPU003R.

Both posts will involve close liaison with healthcare staff throughout the 
region and some travel may be required.  The posts are tenable for 3 years (in
