Statistical Research Assistant
Salary: c. 20,000
Location: Bloomsbury, Central London
The Intensive Care National Audit & Research Centre (ICNARC) was set up
in 1994, as an independent charity (registered: 1039417) to foster
improvements in the organisation and practice of intensive care in the
UK through comparative audit and evaluative research. ICNARC co-
ordinates a high quality clinical database of intensive care patients,
currently holding data on over 110,000 admissions to 127 intensive
care/high dependency units.
ICNARC requires a young and enthusiastic individual, ready to start as
soon as possible, to assist in data management and data analysis.
Working within a small, motivated team, the post-holder will be involved
in the preparation, management and analysis of data to preparation of
results for publication.
Applications are invited from individuals who:
- have an undergraduate or postgraduate (Masters) degree in statistics;
- have experience in data management and data analysis;
- are computer literate, with experience of word processing, database
and statistical software packages;
- have good interpersonal and communication skills;
- have good organisational skills;
- are able to plan, prioritise and problem solve;
- are able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a
team;
- can demonstrate close attention to detail;
- have respect for confidentiality
