Dear List,
Unfortunately I have missed the originating thread, still I
want to comment on two of its followup quoted below:

Now,
I am certainly someone fond of philosophy of science and
foundational aspects of statistics (in research, teaching
and publications). But if we agree with some quite established
methodologist named Immanuel Kant who proposed that thought and
inquiry might be divided into the three fundamental categories
"What can we KNOW?", "What may we BELIEVE?" and "What shall we DO?",
it's for sure that most employers' interest boils down to
question no. 3. They didn't want me for my methodological attitudes,
but for a handful of SAS macros. So, in partial defense of the
original thread, you might need some not-too-academic skills for
a bottom line in order to put your good-methodological-practise
skills into any effect.
THE IMPORTANT POINT IS NOT TO FORGET ABOUT METHODO-LOGY WHILE
ADVANCING TECHNO-LOGY.
