I have been asked to forward the following message to the list.
Dear List Members
TSAOS, a Web site entitled Time Series Analysis for Official Statisticians,
is now available at http://time-series.jrc.cec.eu.int. The site's main
objective is to fill the gap between practitioners and methodologists in the field of
Time Series Analysis: optimally, practitioners should receive there support from
methodologists and academics could gather there applied problems.
TSAOS is a self-populating web, whose content and growth are decided by its
users: once registered/logged in, everybody can upload questions & answers,
references, articles, links, algorithms, events and other.
Since a special attention is devoted to official statisticians and to
programs in use in statistical institutes, a large space given to developers and
users of programs like X12 (by U.S Bureau of the Census), Tramo-Seats (by
V.Gomez and A.Maravall), Demetra (a system of interfaces to Tramo-Seats and
X12 developed by EUROSTAT) and TESS (UPC Barcelona).
The site is moderated by the Applied Statistics (APPST) group at the Joint
Research Centre (http://web.jrc.cec.eu.int/uasa); the main feature of TSAOS is its
help-desk functionality on time series methods, especially targeted to official
statisticians.
The Joint Research Centre is currently launching a call for tender for
supporting the help-desk.
Details are visible at the section Job-Requests, while the technical annex
can be found in the download section.
With best regards
