**Understanding Analysis of Variance** 13-14 November 2000 Cost £410GBP
Problems in understanding and interpreting experimental data stem from the
fact that the data have been collected under different conditions, e.g. on
different days and by different operators. This course will develop your
understanding of sources of variation. The theory, practice and
interpretation of the analysis of variance in simple designed experiments
will be covered.
***Design and Analysis of Experiments*** 15-17 November 2000 Cost £615GBP
Experiments cost time and money. Poorly designed experiments may be too
small to produce clear results, or wrongly structured so that important
comparisons are not accurately made. The statistical aspects associated
with the design and analysis of efficient experiments are covered here. A
simulation game is used to develop participants' intuition of design
principles, and computer analyses improve understanding of how to interpret
and produce sensible results.
