REALISING BUSINESS PROCESS ENHANCEMENTS
RED-BRACES
Applications for a two year Research Associate position in conjunction with
Shell Global Solutions and BASF Computer Services (UK) Ltd is available
within the Foresight Centre for Process Analytics and Control Technology,
University of Newcastle.
RED-BRACES aims to contribute to developing a comprehensive tool-set for
the analysis of corporate financial, marketing and manufacturing data to
aid profitability calculations, forecasting, investment, divestment and
budgetary decisions at Company levels. This will be achieved through the
development and implementation of innovative dynamic statistical methods
and statistical modelling approaches.
Candidates interested in the position should have a PhD in the area of
applied mathematics, statistics or control engineering and should have an
interest in time series analysis and dynamic data mining. The successful
applicant will join an internationally acknowledged inter-disciplinary
research team comprising 4 Post-doctoral Researchers and 12 PhD students,
working alongside Dr Elaine Martin, a statistician and Professor Julian
Morris, Professor of Process Control. Salary will be dependent on age and
experience but will be in the range £16,775 to £21,435.
