Dear friends.
I generated a big population of families, each having possibly up to 2000
children. The only rule was that as soon as the number of boys in each
family was larger than the number of girls - each given a probability of
0.5 - they would stop having more children. It was easily coded in r and
after some 200000 families a sex ratio of very very close to 1 was obtained
in the whole population. I couldn't make a direct proof of that. Any help
around ?
Best wishes
