3yr Postdoctoral position
DESIGN OF EXPERIMENTS / COMPUTATIONAL OPTIMISATION / NUMERICAL MODELLING

As part of a joint EPSRC, Jaguar Cars, Lucas Aerospace and Hosiden Besson
programme of research in experiment design, we wish to recruit a new
research fellow to join our existing collaborative team of statisticians,
and engineers for a three-year period (the team is led by Prof Sue M
Lewis, Dr Colin P Please and Prof Andy J Keane). This work will focus on
new methodologies for designing experiments using advanced computational
and statistical methods.
The successful candidate will have a good first degree in an engineering
or related discipline and preferably have postgraduate research
qualifications or industrial experience. Experience with design of
experiments, quality improvement methods, or applied optimization is
desirable. The person appointed will be self-motivating and possess a
flair for solving complex technical issues in a practical context. Close
collaboration with our industrial partners is essential.
Salary in the range of GBP 19,869 to GBP 22,579 per annum.
