Readership or Lectureship in Applied Statistics
Applications are invited for a Readership or Lectureship tenable in the
Department of Applied Statistics from 1 October 2000 or such other date as
may be agreed.
Candidates for the Readership should have an established research
reputation and will be expected to make a substantial contribution to the
research activities of the Department. Candidates for the Lectureship
should have a PhD in Statistics, or equivalent research experience. An
appointment to a Lectureship will be for a probationary period of three
years in the first instance. For either position, preference may be given
to applicants with research interests in environmental statistics or
experiment al design, although applications from those with interests in
other areas of applied statistics are also welcomed.
The salary for a Readership is expected to be in the range £31,563 -
£35,670 p.a. while that for a Lectureship is expected to be in the range
£17,238 - £30,065. The positions include USS benefits
