Applications are invited for this research position/associate in medical
statistics within the Department of Primary Care and Population Sciences.
The post is for two years and the successful applicant will join a
multidisciplinary team analysing data from a large longitudinal study
investigating the causes and natural history of cardiovascular disease and
its complications.
Applicants should have a good first degree, with a relevant postgraduate
qualification, preferably (but not necessarily) at PhD level. Experience
in the analysis of large, complex epidemiological datasets would be an
advantage. The ability to work unsupervised as well as in collaboration
with other members of a team is essential.
Salary is on the University Research Scale RF1A up to point 12 (£24,227
plus £2134 LW) and the starting point will be dependent on age,
qualifications and experience. This post is available immediately and
interviews will be held on 10th November 2000.
