3-year BBSRC Postdoctoral Fellowship in Computational Molecular Evolution
A 3-year postdoctoral position, funded by BBSRC, is available to work with
Dr Ziheng Yang at Galton Laboratory, Department of Biology, University
College London. The project involves developing statistical methods and
implementing computer algorithms for phylogenetic estimation by maximum
likelihood and Bayes methods, and/or genome-wide data analysis using such
methods. Preferred applicants will possess expertise in statistics and
computer programming (in C/C++ or Java), as well as an interest in
molecular evolution. Candidates with a biology background and keen interest
in statistical data analysis will also be considered. More information

following the links below. Starting salary is on the UK RA1A scale (£18,731
to £21,435 plus £2,134 London Allowance). Starting date is between now and
1 April 2001. Applications will be considered until the position is filled.
