Hi All,
My problem is twofold.
1. I have a data set of 200 points. The line begins to curve after a
100 or so points. This point varies from experiment to experiment and is very
difficult to pinpoint. I then did regression fits at increasing stages of 10
points along the line. I found that the slope of the line varies from stage
to stage (with a difference of .03 or more). All the R-square values are
above 99%. How can I be certain which is the actual slope of the line? The
accuracy of the slope is very important (to within 2 decimal places) and it
is not practical for me to run the experiment numerous times.
2. Once I have determined the correct slope (from Question 1) I now
want to compare this value with the slopes of data from other experiments.
Once again it is not practical for me to run these experiments numerous
times.
Any help on this would be much appreciated.
Thanking you.
Edward Wade
