DIVISION
PROJECT LEADER - BIOSTATISTICIAN IN ANIMAL SCIENCE
Salary: Higher Scientific Officer (HSO)
£14,750- £25,886 (under review)
Senior Scientific Officer (SSO)
£18,007- £32,752 (under review)
Applications are invited from statisticians or mathematicians to
provide a statistical consultancy service to the Veterinary Science and
Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Divisions of DARD. He/she will
contribute innovative statistical and computational analysis to these
Divisions which carry out diagnostic statutory and research programmes
for DARD. The appointment will be at SSO/HSO in Biometrics Division.
The post will be located at the Agriculture & Food Science Centre,
Newforge Lane, Belfast.
Applications must possess, by the closing date for applications:
1. at least an upper second class honours degree in Statistics or
Mathematics;
2. (a) at least 2 years relevant postgraduate experience for entry at
Higher Scientific Officer level; OR
(b) at least 4 years' relevant postgraduate experience for entry at
Senior Scientific Officer level; and
3. at least 1 year's recent experience in computing.

formal qualifications considered by the Department to be of an
equivalent or higher standard to those stated.
