the market for household and motor insurance in the UK. For us, however, it is
not enough to be the biggest. Our aim is to be the best in terms of service,
quality and competitiveness.
The quality of our products is at the forefront and in this role within the
General Insurance Division you will shape the pricing of future products and
contribute to corporate strategies for profitability and growth. Reporting to
the Pricing Director, the responsibilities include:
? Leading and developing a team of 10 people
? Helping teams to interpret risk and rating plans
? Managing statistical projects and analysis and modelling using GLM
? Provide insight into business trends
? Establish working practices in collaboration with Actuarial, Pricing and
Finance teams
The challenge requires:
? A degree-qualified statistician with strong commercial vision and excellent
power of analysis
? A firm understanding of the UK general insurance market and complex
statistical modelling, including GLM
? A successful team manager, with the ability to establish immediate
senior-level credibility across the business
Reflecting the status of the role, the benefits package comprises a car/car
allowance, bonus depending on company and personal performance, pension scheme,
28 ½ days holiday and relocation where appropriate.
