In the light of recent postings to this list, I have been asked to send
the following message:
THE MODERN HUMANITIES RESEARCH ASSOCIATION
In the light of a recent email posted to this Bulletin
Board, the MHRA wishes to state its belief that it deals
properly and fairly with all the editors of its
publications, as well as with the scholars contributing to
its journals, bibliographies, monographs, and dissertation
series (now on its 48th volume), by the publication of
which it fulfils its objectives as a learned society with
charitable status. In addition, each year, it provides
financial support through its Research Associateship
scheme, in open competition, for outside research projects
of benefit to the academic community as a whole, and
through print subventions under its Publication Fund.
Further information concerning the MHRA may be obtained
from the Hon. Secretary, Professor D.A. Wells, Birkbeck
College, London WC1E 7HX ([log in to unmask]).
