Criterion 1: (roughly) if they have have five out of last eight modules
(which is (roughly) the third year's work) at the higher class - in
other words, if their average overall is a bit low, they have to be
improving in the later (harder) units.
Criterion 2: if they meet criterion 1, is their work overall worthy of
the higher class - in other words criterion 1 is necessary but not
sufficient.
> 3 Anything else you may think is pertinent
There is also a final, very rare option whereby a case can be made
whatever the overall average or exit velocity based on exceptional
circumstances. The case would have to be very exceptional and requires
the approval of the Chief External Examiners.
