Dear All
I came away from Tuesday's SROC session on the SLC problem
with slightly more optimism than I had before. A dedicated
HEI liaison team seemed good news and I was satisified with
many of the other promises, if a tad doubtful of delivery
given past experience.
I have today received a letter stating that our course data
return has failed validation by SLC's systems, because I
did not include cheque contacts for campuses B, C and D. I
have two major problems with this.
Firstly, the data passed all the in-built validation. If
there are futher checks on return to the SLC why could
these have not been built in.
Second and more importantly, I did not define more than
Campus A, so how can I be expected to define cheque
contacts for non-existent campuses.
I have returned to a state of abject pessimism (and this
before I start looking at the latest attendance
confirmation request).
Regards
Paul
