hi Rob, thanks for bringing this to our attention, I for one wasn't aware
of it.
as you sad it's a sad loss of a valuable resource, for me the service was as
much about contacting people wish the right experiences and network of
contacts as the actual careers part of it.
It seems strange that the service
would go down at a time when thanks to the DDA disabled people should in
theory at least have increased employment opportunities. the RNIB I know
are looking in to how to develope their careers and employment seekers
services as I hope are many other organisations.
hopefully skill or whoever will maintain the website and info archives as it
would be even more of a blow if that were lost.
On a side note I actually had a lot of problems with the cando website and
could never get it to work for me, but as I made no effert to contact them
about it at the time I can hardly start griping now.
