Hi Jim
sorry about not chipping in when you sent this message ages ago
on the list about what accessible buildings you might visit when
you are on your trip. I cannot recommend any buildings having
never visited the place myself. However, what struck me as a
positive coming out of this message you sent is that we should
start to construct a list on a website of those buildings we do visit
and find to be good in terms of accessibility and to try to capture
what made them so good. Also to try to get some architectural
background to the building so that others may visit the site and feel
encouraged that access and architecture go hand in hand.
the reviewer of the building could be credited for the review and any
images included along with descriptions of what they represent.
This site could also direct people to where other material exists.
If people feel this is all to open I do know of a book publisher who is
desperate to include an arhcitectural/building access title in their
catalogue and this could interest them if it could be developed
reasonable quickly.
Wouldn't it be good to be able to look up what accessible buildings
there were for the venue you are about to visit.
just a thought.
