We have the Plescon Radio Frequency system here but I am
experiencing the same problems. Our engineer has done some tests
and thinks it is where it is sited in relation to the metal door, so he is
coming to move it in the summer.
As well as books not triggering the system, it also goes off
spontaneously which drives the staff mad, so the engineer has
lessened the sensitivity to such a degree that I suspect it very rarely
detects thefts now. Thus the move in the summer has become vital!
