Hello all,
We are currently looking at our procedure for billing borrowers when
they lose our library books. I would like to ask some simple
questions which might help us on our way.
1. Do you use an average book price for books or charge the real
price if the book is still in print?
2. If you do charge and average price - how much? Do you work it
out per subject or charge a blanket one for all items?
3. Do you charge an administration charge and/or fines on the
lost article?
4. If you do charge administration - how much per item?
Answers to these questions by 25/5/2000 would be greatly appreciated
to help us on our way - I know its a rush!
Thanks in anticipation
