The lighting fittings in the Kimberlin Library, DMU Leicester are being
replaced over the coming summer vacation. Work is scheduled to start on the
week commencing June the 11th and will continue until the end of August.
The work requires the closure in turn of individual floors ( for
approximately four weeks at a time) starting on the top floor and working
downwards. The work only effects the original library building, the IT
facilities in the extension will remain in use throughout the vacation.
The effect of this will be that stock on the floor where work is taking
place will be inaccessible to all users. There will be a twice daily
collection of requested items, but potential users should be advised to
telephone in advance to ascertain the progress of the work and current
access to stock.
When we definite details for the closure of individual floors these will be
posted on the library website.
Telephone 0116 2577042, or contact the library via the website
www.library.dmu.ac.uk.
