It's true! Research from the Bookstart Project has proved that sharing
books at an early age can improve achievement at school and can also affect
later life - as outlined in a recent report "Access for All" which
discovered that participation in education after 16 is profoundly affected
by earlier achievements.
Rosemary Clarke - regional officer for the Bookstart Project which is now
going nationwide will speak about the project, the research, the expected
impact on
academic achievement and the implications for academic and public libraries.
Making life long learners of our babies is an essential part of creating a
learning revolution for the 21st Century.
