London University Staff Training Group & M25 Staff Development Group:
After eLib: what's in it for the users?
Friday 7th April 2000, Harkness Hall (Birkbeck College)
Cost: £45
Programme / Event Outline
The eLib programme was introduced to fund projects which would "transform
the use and storage of knowledge in higher education institutions".
Five years on and more than 15 million pounds later - what has been
achieved? What lessons have been learned? Is the hybrid library still a
dream or the reality? As Phase 3 funding draws to a close, is there any
future for the eLib innovations?
At this event, some of the key personalities in the field talk about their
projects with a view to the future. In addition, there is an opportunity to
hear about the progress of the new Distributed National Electronic Resource
from Mary Auckland, member of the JISC.
