Here at Bolton Institute, we are also considering getting LCD
monitors, to save space and clutter.
However, we are also beginning to review whether we should in fact
show users their record on-screen, and we may therefore decide
that it is not important for us to be able to swivel the monitors.
We have a very busy Counter area, where there are often queues,
and groups of students, and we feel that, for Data Protection
reasons, we should not be showing anyone the information on
screen. They can all get the same screens on the OPACs, so
instead we could be advising them to check on those.
I don't know whether anyone else feels the same way?
