The University of Durham wishes to make an appointment as soon as
possible to this new senior post in the University Library. We are
seeking a dynamic and ambitious professional with appropriate staff
management and team leadership experience in higher education libraries,
who wishes to contribute innovatively to the strategic development of
information services in Durham.
We are committed to high quality service delivery in a demanding and
changing environment and expect a proactive and enterprising approach to
this agenda. Key areas of work include a leadership role in a
project-based implementation of the Library's strategy, the deployment
of human and financial resources to achieve strategic objectives, and
the development of the quality agenda. To fulfil our requirements you
will have a good honours degree, and/or higher degree, with a suitable
graduate professional qualification, and will have excellent
interpersonal and negotiating skills.
