At Westminster University libraries we are currently investigating
the possibilitiy of making our documentation and guides available
over the Web. I would be interested to hear feedback from anyone
who has already done so (part of my brief is to find out what
experiences other Universities have had with this).
Are there any interesting lessons to be learned from other
Universities or any important issues which are not immediately
obvious. One that springs to mind is that our paper guides are free
but printing an online version would cost the user money since we
charge for printing in our libraries. There is of course the debate
about which format to have them in (Adobe or not).
Please reply to my email address and I will sumarise the fidings for
everyone on the list.
Thanks for your help
