There have been extensive discussions of computer-printed and other
types of slide label on the discussion list of the Visual Resources
Association, VRA-L. (There were also many sorry tales about problems
with labels falling off, jamming in projectors and generally making the
slide librarian's life a misery.) See the archives at

register, but this only requires you to supply your email address and a
password.
