Three new issue papers have been published by the Networked Services Policy
Taskgroup.
* Internet Acceptable Use Policies, written by Sally Criddle, highlights the
importance of developing policies for public Internet access and explores
what such policies should include.
* Equality of Access, written by Lorna Brown, explores the issues
surrounding providing networked services which are available to all users.
* Partnerships and the People's Network, written by Guy Daines, investigates
how libraries can develop effective partnerships when developing network
infrastructure and services for the People's Network.
Six printed copies of each paper have been sent to each UK public library
authority and electronic versions can be found on the taskgroup's website at
http://www.earl.org.uk/policy/issuepapers/
The Networked Services Policy Taskgroup issue papers are supported by UKOLN,
EARL and the Library Association. Production of the issue papers is project
managed by UKOLN.
