Discover how to carry out an information audit and explore the key
management issues involved in:
Information auditing as a management process
A one day Library Association workshop on 25 January, London
Whatever else it is, information is now accepted as a corporate resource -
together with materials, money, people, plant and machinery - and it is
being better managed by those organisations who are aware of this and act
upon it.
Information auditing - based on sound financial auditing principles - is an
important process in helping your organisation to use its information as a
resource and to clarify how information contributes to the main business
processes and objectives.
Benefits from attending
This introductory day will explore the practical implications of carrying
out an information audit and look at the key management issues involved.
By the end of the event participants will have:
* set information auditing within a broader context of managing
information as a corporate resource
* considered information auditing as a management process
* examined some of the practical issues that arise in implementing
information auditing programmes
* reviewed and discussed how best to take these ideas forward within
their own organisation
Who will benefit from attending?
This workshop is aimed at business managers, senior librarians and
information specialists who need to improve the management of information
within their organisation. The workshop will include both presentation and
