> Entries are invited for the annual Conservation Awards, which have a total
> prize fund of £25,000. To celebrate their seventh year, the awards have
> been extended to include built heritage projects as well as archive,
> library
> and museum conservation. The Conservation Awards are sponsored by the
> Pilgrim Trust and supported by Resource: The Council for Museums, Archives
> and Libraries, English Heritage and the National Preservation Office.
> Entries should demonstrate innovative conservation work as well as high
> standards of presentation and good management practice.

> Award for Conservation - £15, 000
> Student Conservator - £5,000 to winning student and £5,000 for their
> training institute

> To be eligible, the project must meet the following criteria:
> - be housed in the UK or Ireland;
> - completed between 1 October 1999 and 19 January 2001; and
> - accessible/visible to the public (for example in a museum, gallery,
> library, archive repository, school, historic building).

> Projects can be individual items, a collection, decorative elements of
> historic buildings, public sculpture or a significant achievement in
> preventive conservation.
