Dear Colleagues,
I am never quite sure why we always have these debates on what should or
should not be posted on the list on a Friday? Perhaps it is some sort of
cathartic process after the stresses and strains of the past week, or maybe
we are just getting ready for the weekend?
Our last little spat was about library services for submissives if I recall?
This one is about the persecution of librarians in Cuba. Since both the
original postings concerned libraries and this is a library discussion list
then it would seem that they have a legitimate place here? Or are we
debating the content of the messages? A very dangerous path in my humble
opinion.
As everyone keeps saying we all have a Delete key and I am sure we are
sophisticated users of our email software so that we can setup filters on
our incoming email. I certainly know where all the 'Video Request ERA
Licence Held' messages go on my computer! :-)

Actually can I share this with you all - the thing that
really really annoys the hell out of me - those "out of
office" replies. They beat spam, junk mail and hoax viruses
and anything else I've ever had. I turn into a psychotic
axe murderer after receiving a mailbox full of these
wretched "non-mails".
Hmpph.
