Scenario planning - what if?
A new one day workshop on 28 March, LAHQ in London
What if...we use this vacancy to develop a new post - how will this impact
on the team?
What if...we reduce book stock and increase IT provision - how will this
affect our customer base?
What if...we increase resources to support remote users - how will this
change our service portfolio?
Managing the future is not easy. But managing the future is essential. How
else can we feel at ease with the uncertainties of change? How else can we
guide our teams to successfully take on future challenges?
One technique that can help to empower you, your staff and your customers is
scenario planning.
How will this event help you?
This one-day workshop will combine presentations with group work and case
study activities to help you:
* understand the theory and practice of scenario planning
* use environmental scanning techniques to reduce uncertainty and
positively use the forces for change
* develop scenarios for an element of service delivery
* use scenario planning as a powerful marketing tool to help make your
version of the future a reality
Who will benefit from attending?
Managers at all levels who are responsible for planning the future of
anything from a section of the organisation or aspect of library provision,
to developing a site library or taking forward a whole information service.
