The Said Business School, the University of Oxford's business school, has
rapidly established itself as one of Europe's leading centres for management
education. Founded in 1990 as the School of Management Studies, the Business
School offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses, with the MBA as its
flagship programme. Following a generous benefaction to the University, the
Said Business School will be moving to a purpose-built building adjacent to
Oxford Railway Station in 2001.
The Senior Information Officer will take part in the management and daily
operation of the Information Centre in its two current locations, and will
assist in planning and co-ordinating development in library and information
provision throughout the Said Business School, particularly services to
undergraduates. Extensive knowledge of management information and
experience in searching online databases, particularly in the fields of
business, economics and finance, is essential together with good IT and
interpersonal skills.
