University Librarian and Head of Learning Support Services

The University of East London seeks a Librarian with flair and vision
to lead and develop Learning Support Services at a particularly
exciting and challenging time in the University's history.
With the opening of the new Docklands campus and the
development of a new Corporate Plan, Learning Support Services
will be required to serve the needs of a highly innovative agenda
into the 21st Century.
The successful candidate will need to have:
well-developed people management and leadership skills
the ability to manage and direct change
a minimum of five years' experience of senior level responsibility for
managing and delivering library and information services
the ability to manage a substantial budget and an innovative
approach to effective resource management
a professional qualification as a Chartered Librarian
