TARGET AUDIENCE OF THE TRAINING MODULES

Digimap training modules are aimed at designated Digimap site
representatives and/or site support staff.

Module One is designed to be an introduction to Digimap for all site
support staff. It includes hands-on training in using the Digimap service;
and also provides an introduction to Ordnance Survey data products, as well
as cartographic and digital map data concepts.

Module Two is designed for staff who are also designated site
representatives, and those with an administrative/data security role. We
strongly encourage you to attend Module Two, if you are or might become
the site representative for your institution. Module Two includes hands-on
training in how to use the Land-Line Tile Selection Tool, as well as
copyright, institutional and infrastructural issues.

If you are a local expert in the use of Geographical Information Systems
(GIS) or drawing packages, and willing to share that expertise with others
in the support of Digimap within your institution, you are very welcome to
apply to attend Digimap training courses. Module Four, which is not
running in this set of courses, but will run later in the year, is
specifically designed for those with GIS experience who will play this kind
of role in supporting Digimap.

If you are a GIS expert, and also a site representative in a newly
subscribing institution, please do not wait for the Module Four courses
later in the year, but come along to this diet of courses.
