*Information Services to Support your Scientific Researchers*
Wednesday 15th November 2000, 10.00-16.15
Rothamsted Experimental Station, Harpenden, Herts
Providing support to researchers has become an important issue for Library &
Information Services in Higher Education. Researchers' needs are specialised
and often very intense. This workshop will help you to gain an understanding
of the research environment, the information needs of researchers and see
valuable information resources.
Organised by: RESCOLINC (http://www.research-councils.ac.uk/rescolinc/) The
Research Council Libraries & Information Consortium (RESCOLINC) is the focal
point of the Library and Information Services (LIS) of the UK Research
Councils. Its aim is to obtain optimum information service supply benefits in
support of researchers across the entire research council sector. The Research
Council Libraries comprise a wide range of specialist collections, and are
located at research sites across the UK. They primarily serve their local
community of researchers.
