UNIVERSITY OF LONDON
Records Manager (ALC2)
The University of London is implementing a records management system
throughout its central administrative offices. In order to accomplish this
it is seeking to recruit a Records Manager with proven experience. The
postholder will be expected to develop and implement new procedures to
achieve an effective system for the future management of paper and
electronic records.
You should possess a post-graduate qualification in records management,
with at least two years post-qualification experience in a relevant
post(s), and be familiar with legislative requirements. Good interpersonal
skills and an ability to communicate with staff at all levels are essential
as is the ability to understand the needs for and deliver training in the
new systems. In addition, we would be looking for the enthusiasm that will
help to carry through this exciting opportunity.
You will report to and be supported by the University Archivist but you
will need to be an energetic and enterprising self-starter. You will have
the assistance of an experienced part-time Records Assistant whom you will
supervise. The University is currently purchasing archive management
software for the management of both archives and semi-current records.
The post is fixed-term initially for two years but successful
implementation may result in further funding.
Starting Salary in the range £21,616 - £27,347 (incl. L.A.)
