The Internet is a vast information resource that also provides a means
of communicating that information with just a click of the mouse. But
not only do you have to tackle the problem of locating relevant Web
resources, you also have to battle with the infoglut that arrives via
email and discussion groups. Suitable for users of information at all
levels, this one day workshop looks at how you can use the Internet more
effectively and efficiently.
The day will focus on search tools and essential search techniques; how
to make more effective use of email; strategies for organising your mail
and Web resources; strategies for searching and filtering discussion
groups; security, privacy and confidentiality issues.
Cost: GBP 195 + VAT (Total cost GBP 229.12). Lunch and refreshments are
included.
