Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a dynamic and creative
professional to lead, manage and co-ordinate our developing Law Library.
As Law Librarian you will report to the Information Access Manager and be
responsible for managing and directing the Law Library operations, including
six staff. You will provide excellent information and instructional
services to staff and student users; develop and market a full range of
library and information services; and manage the print and electronic
collections. You will also have an opportunity to contribute to the
University Library at an operational and strategic level.
Good liaison with the School of Law staff and students is fundamental to
your success.
You will have completed a formal qualification in librarianship and have
experience in the field of library management. Well developed skills in
verbal presentation, communication, planning and organising will be required
along with a well rounded knowledge of reference and information work.
Prior experience in a leadership role with a team building focus is also
essential. Project management skills and teaching experience will be a
distinct advantage.
